I think animals have a natural instinct to other animals brought into their fold. We have never had a problem mixing dogs, cats, chickens...

Let us know how she's doing because she may need meds after having the egg break inside her. It can lead to an E. coli infection. If you see her dripping anymore liquid or she seems uncomfortable you should get some Aureomycin soluble powder and mix 1 tsp per gallon of water daily. She will need it for at least 10 days. Watch her closely that she keeps eating and drinking .
